LaRose confirms he's staying with Canes

Unrestricted free agent Chad LaRose has told 99.9 FM The Fan ESPN Radio that he's agreed to a new contract with the Carolina Hurricanes.

LaRose spoke to The Insiders early Thursday evening and let them know about the deal.

99.9 The Fan ESPN Radio has confirmed that the contract will pay LaRose $1.5 million this coming season, and $1.9 million in 2010-11.

LaRose had career highs in goals (19) and points (31) this past year.  The 27 year-old forward also tallied 11 points in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
