Miami snaps UNC's win streak with 5-3 victory

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Dale Carey hit a two-run home run and Miami snapped North Carolina's 14-game winning streak by taking a 5-3 victory at the 2012 Atlantic Coast Conference baseball tournament.
Carey's drive to left in the seventh inning on Thursday scored Stephen Perez, broke a 3-all tie and gave the sixth-seeded Hurricanes (35-20) a valuable first victory at the four-day tournament. Both Miami and second-seeded North Carolina (43-14) are 1-1 in Pool B play.
The Tar Heels loaded the bases with two outs in the ninth before closer A.J. Salcines struck out Colin Moran to end it. Following the final out, UNC head coach Mike Fox argued the third strike call with the umpire.
"Coach Fox was warned twice following the game for arguing the last pitch. He continued to engage a member of the crew, at which time he was issued a post-participation ejection," a statement issued by the ACC said.
By NCAA rule, Fox is suspended for the next scheduled contest which in this case is North Carolina's game against NC State at the ACC Championship in Greensboro, N.C., on Saturday night.
Earlier in the game, Brad Fieger had an RBI double and Chantz Mack added a run-scoring groundout for Miami.
North Carolina's Grayson Atwood had a pinch-hit, two-run homer in the seventh to tie it.

That may be, but it is an overcooked, tough, leathery steak that is so tough a doberman couldn't choke it down! :)
OK, that's funny.
BUT.... it's better to be a "tough" fillet mignon than a fillet O'(Bass) fish:)
And I hope that tough, dried out fillet is too tough for a Badger to chew on when our two teams play tomorrow:)
