Bulls expecting 10 millionth fan this weekend

Durham, N.C. — The Durham Bulls are expecting to hit a huge milestone during this weekend's home stand: the franchise's 10 millionth fan.
Based on the team's projection, the Bulls think the 10 millionth fan will get into the ballpark on Saturday or Sunday. When that happens, prizes will be doled out to celebrate.
On the day of the mark, every fan in attendance will get a minimum of $25 to Sharper Image, and one section of the park will get a coupon to Jamba Juice for two smoothies for the price of one. The Bulls will also select a row of fans to receive a baseball sign by the team.
A bigger prize awaits, though. One fan will also win the evening’s grand prize, which includes a $100 gift card to The Angus Barn, a free night’s stay at the Hilton Durham and a $500 shopping spree at the Ballpark Corner Store.
“This is just a small way for us to honor the greatest fans in sports,” Bulls General Manager Mike Birling said in a news release. “As a franchise, we’re very lucky to have such a passionate, engaged fan base, and this is a fun way for us to give back to those that have supported us since 1998.”
The Bulls will take on the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, for both weekend games.
