Canes agree to terms with Rissanen

The Hurricanes continued their offseason of keeping players in the developmental stage on Wednesday, resigning defensman Rasmus Rissanen.
Signed to a one-year, two-way contract, Rissanen will make $575,000 at the NHL level, or $90,000 at the AHL level.
Rissanen just completed his third full season with the Hurricanes' AHL affiliate Charlotte Checkers, scoring three goals and earning seven assists in 62 games. The Kuopio, Finland, native's 10 points marked a career high, and his 91 penalty minutes ranked third among Checkers skaters.
The Canes drafted Rissanen in the sixth round, 178th overll, in the 2009 NHL Draft.
