Raleigh, N.C. — For the second time this season, Zac Dalpe will join the Carolina Hurricanes, the team announced Monday.
Ahead of Tuesday night’s game at Washington, Dalpe has been recalled from Charlotte along with defenseman Marc-Anre Gragnani. Forward Andreas Nodl and defenseman Michal Jordan were reassigned to the Checkers in corresponding moves.
Dalpe made the opening day Canes roster and skated in six games notching two assists. The 23-year-old is second among Checkers players with 18 goals and 36 points in 45 games.
Gragnani’s recall is his first with the Canes. The 25-year oldwas signed by Carolina as a free agentin July. He has played in 73 career games at the NHL level with Buffalo and Vancouver. Gragnani is tied for second among Checkers defensemen in scoring this season with 21 points and is tied for third among AHL defensemen in power-play assists with 16.
