GAME NOTES: Having just had their 13-game victory streak snapped, the Delaware Blue Hens aim for a milestone tonight when they try to get back on the winning track with a road contest against the Hofstra Pride.

The Blue Hens suffered their first loss in the Colonial Athletic Association on Monday with a 78-63 setback at Towson. Davon Usher poured in 24 points. Devon Saddler contributed 18, while Carl Baptiste logged a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Delaware is trying for its seventh 20-win season in school history, and its first since 2000-01. A win would give head coach Monte Ross 110 career victories, which would tie him for second place on the school's wins list along with Irv Wisniewski.

The Blue Hens are led by Usher (19.6 ppg), who qualifies as the top scorer in the CAA. Saddler (20.3 ppg) has played in only 20 games this season, 11 of which have been starts. Kyle Anderson (11.0 ppg) and Baptiste (10.6 ppg, 7.8 rpg) are also part of the starting lineup for a team that leads the CAA in scoring (79.6 ppg), as well as free-throw percentage (.712).

Hofstra is headed in the opposite direction of the Blue Hens, as the Pride have lost two in a row and seven of their last eight overall. On Sunday, they suffered a 74-63 setback at Drexel. Zeke Upshaw netted 20 points for Hofstra, while Jordan Allen tacked on 10 points and Stephen Nwaukoni cleared nine boards.

The Pride average 66.5 ppg, which is fifth in the CAA. They are led offensively by Upshaw (18.7 ppg), and Dion Nesmith (12.8 ppg) is the only other player averaging double figures. Jamall Robinson (9.0 ppg) and junior Moussa Kone, who leads the team with 24 blocks, are also in the starting lineup.

The Blue Hens have beaten the Pride in six straight meetings, but Hofstra holds a hefty 48-29 lead in the all-time series. Delaware won at home over the Pride, 86-79, on Jan. 8 when Saddler had 24 points and Usher 19, while Upshaw scored 19 for Hofstra. Allen and Nesmith each had 18 points for the Pride.

Jarvis Threatt had 20 points and seven boards for the Blue Hens in that Jan. 8 matchup. Threatt, a junior guard, is currently under suspension along with sophomore forward Marvin King-Davis. Both players are tentatively expected to return for the road game at UNC-Wilmington on Feb. 26. Threatt was leading the CAA with 2.3 steals and 5.4 assists when his suspension began on Jan. 29.

Even without Threatt, the Blue Hens seem to have the upper hand in this matchup, especially with Hofstra being the worst team in the CAA in perimeter defense. The Pride are allowing teams to shoot 37.9 percent from beyond the arc, as compared to Delaware's yield (.307), which leads the conference.

Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Delaware 74, Hofstra 70
