Oxford, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Kris Brewer tied a career-high with 28 points on a perfect 7-of-7 shooting from the 3-point range, as the Kent State Golden Flashes easily defeated the Miami-Ohio RedHawks, 75-63, in a Mid-American Conference tilt at John D. Millett Hall.

Devareaux Manley had 15 points for the Golden Flashes (15-11, 6-7 MAC), who have won three straight contests. Derek Jackson chipped in 10 points and Khaliq Spicer cleared nine rebounds to go with three blocks.

Will Felder finished with 23 points and shot 11-of-13 from the free-throw line for the RedHawks (9-15, 5-8), who have extended their losing streak to five games. Willie Moore and Geovonie McKnight each logged 12 points.

Kent State connected on 42.3 percent of its shots from the floor in the opening frame, as it led 28-22 at halftime. Miami shot 47.1 percent on field goal tries but attempted nine less shots than it opponent.

The Golden Flashes drained 60.7 percent of their field goal attempts, including 9-of-14 from 3-point range in the second half. Kent State rode its hot shooting to the triumph as it led by as many as 22 points.

Kent State's bench outscored the RedHawks' reserves 50-14.
