Athens, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Quincy Diggs came off the bench to score 20 points and grab seven rebounds as the Akron Zips took down the Ohio Bobcats, 83-80, in double-overtime Mid-American Conference action at the Convocation Center.

With six seconds left at the end of the first overtime period, Diggs hit a jumper for the Zips to knot the score at 71-71. Stevie Taylor missed a layup at the buzzer for the Bobcats, sending it to a second overtime frame.

Akron outscored Ohio 12-9 in the second extra period for the three-point win. The Zips shot 46.7 percent in the overtime periods, and were 7-of-13 from the free-throw line. Ohio shot 35.7 percent in the extra frames.
