GAME NOTES: Meeting for the first time in nearly 22 years, Maine takes to the road to battle Siena in a BracketBuster matchup tonight at Times Union Center in Albany.

These two schools used to be members of the North Atlantic Conference in the late 1980's, before Siena moved to the MAAC after the 1988-89 season. Interestingly, those two games during the 1988-89 season were played just a week apart, and both games were quarantined to the general public due to a measles outbreak on Siena's campus.

Siena is playing in a BracketBuster matchup for the sixth straight year. Last season, the Saints suffered a 70-53 loss to Butler, the eventual national runner-up. Siena has lost four straight games for the first time since losing five in a row in February of 2005. The Saints are coming off a 67-57 loss at home to Saint Peter's on Wednesday. Ryan Rossiter racked up 21 points and 16 rebounds in defeat for Siena. The Saints also received 13 points from Clarence Jackson and 11 points from Rakeem Brookins.

Rossiter, who notched the 53rd double-double of his career, became Siena's all-time leading career rebounder earlier this year. He's averaging 18.8 points and 13.3 rebounds per game, which is the second-best mark in the country. Jackson (14.4 ppg) is the only other double-figure scorer, and he's one of the best long-distance threats on the team, shooting 37.4 percent from three-point range. Brookins (8.8 ppg) and forward OD ANosike (8.7 ppg) are included in the starting lineup for a team that averages 67.8 ppg.

The Black Bears are struggling of late, losing five in a row. They are coming off a 73-57 home loss to Vermont on Wednesday and haven't tasted victory since January 29th at Binghamton. Troy Barnies scored 16 points, while Alasdair Fraser and Terrance Mitchell both netted 13 in the loss to recent loss to the Catamounts.

Maine, which is averaging 70 ppg, is led by Barnies (14.4 ppg, 7.8 rpg) and Gerald McLemore (13.5 ppg). Raheem Singleton (9.0 ppg) and Murphy Burnatowski (6.9 ppg) along with center Sean McNally (3.9 ppg) make up the remainder of the starting lineup. Barnies has scored at least 11 points in 14 of the last 15 games and grabbed five rebounds or more in 12 of the last 15, while McLemore has scored in double figures in 13 of the last 14 contests.

The Saints are 3-7 in non-conference games this season, but with Maine struggling now, it will be tough for the Black Bears to gain the road victory.
