Raleigh, NC (Sports Network) - Led by 31 points and 13 rebounds by T.J.
Warren, the NC State Wolfpack took down the Florida State Seminoles, 84-66, in
an ACC matchup at PNC Arena.
For the Wolfpack (19-7, 8-5 ACC), C.J. Leslie added a double-double of his own
with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Scott Wood finished with 13 points and
Lorenzo Brown dished out nine assists to go along with nine points.
Michael Snaer led the Seminoles (14-12, 6-7) with 20 points, while Okaro White
scored 13 and Ian Miller chipped in with 11 points.
NC State took a 40-30 lead into halftime, shooting 46.9 percent from the field
and outrebounding FSU 21-10. The Seminoles shot 42.9 percent from the field in
the opening stanza.
After the break the Wolfpack again dominated the boards, grabbing a 24-11
rebounding edge. They shot 44.4 percent from the field and outscored the
Seminoles 16-7 at the free-throw line in the frame. The Seminoles made 43.3
percent of their field goal tries, but just 3-of-11 from beyond the 3-point
arc. NC State pushed their lead as high as 21 points as they delivered their
third straight victory.
The Wolfpack dominated the Seminoles on the boards, 45-21, and also outscored
FSU in the paint, 42-30.
Warren's 31 points tied the third most ever scored by a Wolfpack freshman.
