GAME NOTES: The George Washington Colonials go after their sixth straight Atlantic-10 win, but they face a tough test in a place they haven't fared well over the years, as the Colonials take on the Dayton Flyers, a team that is on a season-high four-game losing streak.

The current five-game run in conference play is the longest for GW since the 2006-07 season when the Colonials captured the A-10 championship.

Whether it be in the conference tournament or a regular season game, GW hasn't won at Dayton since Feb. 26, 2005. That's five straight home wins essentially for the Flyers over the Colonials.

The Colonials are coming off a 69-47 home win over La Salle Wednesday. Isaiah Armwood logged a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Kevin Larsen and Maurice Creek both scored 15 points and Patricio Garino added 10 points in the win. The latest victory really showed how the defense is blossoming for GW, which surrendered season lows in points, field goals allowed (15) and shooting percentage (.273).

Creek (14.4 ppg) leads GW in scoring. Larsen (11.7 ppg, 6.4 rpg) and Armwood (11.3 ppg, 8.2 rpg) are also part of the starting lineup for a team that averages 75.0 ppg, which is fourth-best in the A-10. GW, which was just 13-17 a year ago, is No. 2 in the conference in scoring defense (65.2 ppg).

The Flyers, who haven't won since Jan. 15 at Fordham, were beaten at home by Saint Joseph's, 60-57, on Wednesday. Langston Galloway knocked down a 3- pointer with just one second remaining to deal the Flyers the heart-breaking loss. Jordan Sibert led all scorers with 21 points and Devin Oliver scored 16 for the Flyers. The 1-5 conference start for Dayton is its worst ever as a member of the Atlantic 10. The Flyers have lost three straight at home, the first time that has occurred since the 2005-06 season.

Sibert (12.0 ppg) is third in the Atlantic 10 in 3-point field goal percentage (.434). Oliver (12.2 ppg) leads the team offensively. Pierre (12.0 ppg) has scored in double figures in 10 of his last 12 contests and is shooting 27- of-41 (.659) from the field over his last five contests.

GW has lost 10 of its last 11 trips to Dayton. The Colonials are on the cusp of possibly gaining entry into the Top 25, but the Flyers need to end their skid here. Also, Dayton no doubt will try for revenge following the dramatic ending in the last meeting when Armwood's tip dunk with 2.4 seconds left gave GW an 81-80 win last March 9.

Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Dayton 74, George Washington 71
