Final Score: Idaho State 93, San Francisco 90 (OT)

San Francisco, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Chris Hansen poured in 33 points for the Bengals as Idaho State outlasted the San Francisco Dons for a 93-90 overtime victory in a non-conference thriller at War Memorial Gym.

Tomas Sanchez made a layup with only seconds remaining in regulation and finished with 24 points to go along with five assists for the Bengals (2-1) as they picked up their inaugural win over a Division I foe this season. Andre Hatchett registered a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds while also recording five steals.

The Dons (2-2) lost their second game in a row despite a 21-point outing by Chris Adams, who scored all of his points from beyond the arc. Mark Tollefsen recorded a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards while Cody Doolin contributed 13 points and six assists. Avry Holmes scored 10 points. Tollefsen also handed out five assists and blocked four shots. USF received a spark off the bench from Kruize Pinkins as he knocked down all six of his field goal tries to net 14 points in 17 minutes.

The Dons trailed by 12 points in the early part of the first half, but they connected on 50 percent of their shots from the floor including 9-of-19 from 3-point range to battle back and take a 44-39 lead into the intermission. ISU's early advantage slipped away due to eight turnovers and four missed free-throw attempts before halftime.

USF opened up the second stanza with some momentum and watched its lead grow to nine as Tollefsen attacked the rim for a dunk to put it ahead, 57-48, with 15:49 left in regulation. The Bengals quickly narrowed the deficit as Hatchett sank a pair of free-throw attempts to even the score at 63 with 10:27 showing on the clock. ISU held a 78-73 lead with 2:27 left to play before the Dons rallied back with a 7-2 run to tie the game at 80. The hosts jumped back in front as Pinkins tipped in a missed layup before Sanchez evened things up on the other end. Doolin missed a layup in the closing moments of the second period with the score knotted up at 82.

The Dons took a 90-86 lead with 1:42 left to play in overtime thanks to a made from beyond the arc by Holmes, but the Bengals drew even once again as Hatchett and Hansen sank two free throws each. Holmes lost possession with four seconds remaining and fouled Sanchez, who made a two shots at the charity stripe before making another after Pinkins committed a turnover on USF's final possession.

The overtime thriller featured eight ties and nine lead changes. ISU went 1- of-7 from the field and 9-of-10 at the free-throw line in the extra session.
