GAME NOTES: The Quinnipiac Bobcats set out for revenge when they tangle with the Rider Broncs on Saturday in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play.

Rider delivered the Bobcats their first MAAC defeat two months ago. On Dec. 8, Daniel Stewart had 25 points in Rider's 90-78 home win over the Bobcats. Jimmie Taylor added 21 points and Anthony Myles had 20 for the Broncs. Ike Azotam tallied 24 points to lead the Bobcats, who at the time were the midst of their worst stretch of the season with three losses in four games.

Times are different now for the Bobcats, who have thrived offensively in their last two wins. Quinnipiac hasn't played since last Saturday's 103-95 overtime win at Siena. Zaid Hearst finished with 25 points and eight rebounds to pace the Bobcats.

Quinnipiac is first in the MAAC in rebounding. Quinnipiac has been awesome on the glass in the last two seasons and has been outrebounded only once in its last 53 contests. Additionally, the Bobcats are 13-2 in their last 15 games at TD Bank Sports Center. At 78.9 ppg, they are the second-leading scoring team in the MAAC, behind Iona. The Bobcats are also limiting teams to shooting 32.2 percent from beyond the arc, which is the second-best mark in the conference. The Bobcats are also the only team in the country to have two players averaging at least 12 points and 9.5 rebounds. That distinction goes to Azotam (16.6 ppg, 11.3 rpg) and Ousmane Drame (12.4 ppg, 9.8 rpg). Hearst (15.4 ppg) and Umar Shannon (14.0 ppg) have helped the Bobcats in their success this season.

Rider had its three-game winning streak snapped Saturday in a 68-61 home setback to Marist. Anthony Myles tallied 17 points to lead Rider, while Stewart chipped in 16 points and five rebounds. Taylor contributed 14 points on 4-of-11 shooting in the loss.

The main weapon for the Broncs has been shooting from beyond the arc. They lead the MAAC by making 41.2 percent from 3-point range. Taylor (.458) is second in the conference in this category. The Broncs are also first in free-throw percentage (.738). Myles (17.4 ppg), Stewart (15.6 ppg, 6.1 rpg) and Taylor (11.1 ppg) lead the way offensively for the Broncs, who average and also give up 75.7 ppg.

Quinnipiac has averaged 46.5 rpg, compared to 34.0 for Rider. The Bobcats are already approaching their win total (15-16) from all of last season. Rider was out-rebounded 47-26 by Marist, a team that is currently below the Broncs in rebounding margin in the MAAC. That signals problems for Rider against a team that has dominated on the glass all season.

Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Quinnipiac 78, Rider 70
