Normal, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Daishon Knight racked up 26 points as the Illinois State Redbirds routed the Bradley Braves, 70-54, in a Missouri Valley Conference tilt at Redbird Arena.

Knight shot 8-of-12 from the floor, including 5-of-7 behind the 3-point line for the Redbirds (14-12, 7-7 MVC), who have won three of their last five games. Paris Lee and Bobby Hunter netted 13 and 10 points, respectively.

Tyshon Pickett notched a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Braves (11-16, 6-8), who lost back-to-back games. Walt Lemon Jr. and Auston Barnes picked up 18 and 12 points, respectively.

The Redbirds shot a confident 48 percent from the field in the opening half, while their opponent converted 34.6 percent. Illinois State made only 2-of-10 behind the 3-point line and 4-of-11 at the charity stripe, yet it claimed a slim 30-27 halftime lead.

The teams were consistent in the second half, with the Redbirds again shooting 48 percent and the Braves hitting at 34.8 percent. The Redbirds, however, distanced themselves with 8-of-15 accuracy from 3-point range.

Illinois State outscored the visitors 22-12 in the paint and 14-4 in points off turnovers in the victory.
