Boston, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - Wesley Saunders and Kyle Casey scored 17 points apiece as the Harvard Crimson defeated the Northeastern Huskies, 72-64, in non-conference action at Matthews Arena.

Evan Cummins and Laurent Rivard chipped in 10 points each for Harvard (8-1), while Siyani Chambers added eight points and eight assists.

Scott Eatherton had a double-double for the Huskies (2-6) with 17 points and 11 boards. Reggie Spence added 16 points, while David Walker chipped in 12 to go along with six assists and three steals.

The Crimson shot 56 percent from the floor in the first half and held a 34-29 lead at intermission. Northeastern knocked down a solid 48.1 percent from the floor in the opening frame, but just 25.0 percent behind the 3-point line.

Harvard continued to play well after the break, shooting 57.1 percent from the field. The Huskies went 3-of-8 from beyond the arc and made 44 percent of their field goal tries in the eight-point setback.

Northeastern finished the night with just 12-of-23 shooting at the free-throw line and 4-of-12 out on the perimeter.
