GAME NOTES: The Richmond Spiders are set to play their first true road game of the season tonight, as they tangle with the Air Force Falcons in non- conference action at Clune Arena.

The Spiders are out in Colorado after spending the weekend in Connecticut where the lost to nationally-ranked North Carolina (82-72), but then bounced back with a 68-47 romp over Fairfield on Sunday as part of the Hall of Fame Tipoff at Mohegan Sun Arena.

As for the Falcons, they are in the midst of a lengthy eight-game homestand that has the squad enjoying the friendly confines until the second week of December. The team began the run with an 84-82 loss versus Jackson State nearly two weeks ago, but the Falcons have rebounded with wins over Arkansas- Pine Bluff (67-64) and Colorado Christian (78-51) in order to move back over .500.

The Spiders won the only previous meeting between the programs earlier this year at the Robins Center, 91-68.

Richmond's defense was all over the Stags on Sunday, holding the team to just seven field goals in the first half and a mere 17 points at the break, en route to the 21-point victory. Fairfield was limited to 33.3 percent shooting from the floor and 2-of-19 beyond the arc, while the Spiders also had their issues out on the perimeter (4-of-16).

Terry Allen led the way on offense for Richmond with 16 points, followed by Derrick Williams and ShawnDre Jones with 11 points apiece, the latter doing his damage in just 14 minutes off the bench for a squad that outscored the Stage, 26-11, at the free-throw line.

Although he failed to score in double figures in the most recent outing, Cedrick Lindsay remains the top scorer overall for Richmond with 18.7 ppg, despite his disappointing 28.6 percent shooting behind the 3-point line. Allen and Kendall Anthony chip in with 10.3 and 10.2 ppg, respectively, for a group that has held the competition to just 39.0 percent accuracy from the floor overall and 25.0 percent on the outside.

Except for Marek Olesinski who scored five points, but handed out eight assists and pulled down six rebounds, every Air Force starter scored in double figures in the team's most recent win. Darrius Parker checked in with 17 points, shooting 7-of-8 from the floor, followed by Max Yon with 13 points and seven of the unit's 14 steals. Justin Hammonds accounted for 12 points and eight rebounds, followed by Tre Coggins and his 10 points, although the latter's 0-of-4 performance beyond the arc contributed to the team's 3-of-14 effort overall.

Now shooting 46.2 percent on the perimeter through five games, Coggins leads the unit in scoring with 17.4 ppg, followed by Yon and Olesinski with 15.6 and 12.8 ppg, respectively. Of the program's 71 assists to this point, 42 have come from the aforementioned trio, while also combining for 32 of the team's 39 three-point conversions as well.

With a fresh new crop of talent, the Falcons will need time to come together before taking aim at teams such as Richmond, even with the Spiders entering Clune Arena tonight.

Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Richmond 72, Air Force 59
