GAME NOTES: The Saint Peter's Peacocks will try to stop a three-game skid on Friday night. as they welcome the Rider Broncs to the Yanitelli Center for a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference rematch.

Saint Peter's earned a 77-69 win on the road when these teams met on Jan. 16. The victory was just the fourth in the last 17 meetings against Rider for the Peacocks, who trail in the all-time series by a 29-25 margin.

Rider has been unable to get going in either direction recently, alternating wins and losses in its last six decisions. The Broncs are now 10-9 overall, including a solid 6-4 mark against the rest of the MAAC. Home tilts against Fairfield and Marist await them following this contest.

Last Sunday, Saint Peter's was edged out by Iona, 71-63, for its third straight loss. The Peacocks are currently 7-12 overall, which includes a paltry 3-7 mark in conference. They will visit Manhattan on Monday in their next matchup.

The Broncs managed to escape with a 77-71 victory in overtime against Monmouth last time they hit the floor. Rider netted 23 points off of turnovers and drained 11-of-28 shots from beyond the arc. Tommy Pereira led the way, scoring 20 points while sinking 6-of-7 3-point attempts.

Daniel Stewart (15.8 ppg, 5.9 rpg) paced the Broncs with 21 points in the win over Monmouth. Stewart, who leads the team on the glass, has scored in double figures in five straight games, including a pair of 20-point performances. Anthony Myles (17.9 ppg) is still the team's top offensive option, ranking fifth in the MAAC in scoring. However, he finished with only 12 points on 3- of-10 shooting against Monmouth. Jimmie Taylor (10.7 ppg) and Zedric Sadler (10.3 ppg, 3.7 apg) are also solid scorers, but the Broncs do not have much in terms of depth, with no other player above six ppg.

Saint Peter's was only able to connect on 40.3 percent of its attempts from the field, including a 7-of-25 showing from beyond the arc, in its recent loss to Iona. The Peacocks were led by Marvin Dominique, who netted 18 points to go with six rebounds.

The Peacocks have really struggled on offense this season, ranking ninth in the MAAC in both scoring (64.9 ppg) and field goal percentage (.398). They are doing better defensively, allowing just 68.3 ppg on 41.9 percent shooting. Dominique (17.5 ppg, 8.7 rpg) is an All-MAAC caliber player, who does not get enough support from his teammates. The 6-foot-7 forward, who ranks third in the league in rebounding, bounced back from a seven-point outing in his previous bout to record 18 points against Iona. Desi Washington (12.9 ppg) is the only other player on the roster averaging in double figures.

Saint Peter's already took down Rider once this season and that decision came on the road. Expect Dominique to get a bit more help from the rest of the Peacocks on their home floor.

Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Saint Peter's 70, Rider 65
