NCAA Game Summary - Texas A&M vs. Missouri

(Thursday, March 13th)

Final Score: Missouri 91, Texas A&M 83 (2-OT)

Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Jabari Brown scored 26 points and Earnest Ross added 24 points as the Missouri Tigers outlasted the Texas A&M Aggies, 91-83, in double overtime in the SEC Tournament at the Georgia Dome.

Jordan Clarkson added 12 points and Johnathan Williams had 11 points and 15 rebounds for the eighth-seeded Tigers (22-10), who advance to play the top- seed Florida Gators in the quarterfinals on Friday.

Alex Caruso scored a game-high 28 points for the ninth-seeded Aggies (17-15), who rallied at the end of regulation and again at the end of the first overtime.

Jamal Jones, the Aggies leading scorer this season, played despite suffering from an illness most of the week. He ended with 20 points on 7-of-16 shooting.

Texas A&M was down 59-51 after Brown hit a pair of free throws with 6:36 left, but the Aggies scored 15 of the next 20 points to go ahead. Fabyon Harris drained two free throws with 3:45 on the clock to end the run and give Texas A&M a 63-62 edge.

The two teams remained close the rest of the way and with the game tied at 68, Kourtney Roberson missed a jumper with 16 seconds left and Brown grabbed the board for Missouri, which called a time out but could never get a shot off in the final seconds to force overtime.

In the first extra session, Missouri scored the first four points, thanks to a bucket and two free throws by Clarkson.

Missouri continued to hold a four point lead until Roberson hit a pair of free throws with 11 seconds left to draw within 77-75. Then, Blake McDonald stole a pass in the back court and while falling out of bounds under the basket, dished it to Alex Caruso for the easy layup to tie the game with eight seconds left.

Missouri again failed to get a shot off in the final seconds to force the second OT.

In the second extra session, the Tigers scored 11 of the first 13 points to take control and not allow the Aggies a shot at forcing a third OT.

Harris ended with 10 points for Texas A&M, which trailed 34-26 at halftime.
