Macomb, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Jordan Dykstra notched a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds as the South Dakota State Jackrabbits topped the Western Illinois Leathernecks, 62-50, in Summit League play at Western Hall.

Jake Bittle netted 18 points for the Jackrabbits (16-10, 8-3 Summit League), who have won six games in a row. Cody Larson added 11 points in the victory.

Mike Miklusak and Garret Covington both scored 12 points for the Leathernecks (9-16, 3-7), who have lost four straight. Jabari Sandifer contributed 11 points in the losing effort.

Both teams struggled to establish their offensive presence in the first half, with the Jackrabbits shooting 34.8 percent from the field and their opponent shooting 38.1 percent. The Leathernecks claimed a narrow 24-23 lead at halftime.

Western Illinois failed to hold the lead in the second half, however, as it shot a mere 26.9 percent, recoring seven field goals. The Jackrabbitss improved to 39.1 percent and hit 21-of-31 at the free-throw line to put the game out of reach.

SDSU dominated in the paint, where it outscored the hosts 28-12 and outrebounded them 44-27.
