GAME NOTES: With five wins in the last six games, Eastern Kentucky has been steadily climbing up the charts in the Ohio Valley Conference. The Colonels seek continued success, as they host the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks, a team that has won three of their last four contests.

The Colonels are coming off an 89-66 home win over Tennessee-Martin Thursday. Marcus Lewis scored 19 points to lead five players in double figures. Glenn Cosey added 18 points. Eric Stutz tacked on 14 points, Tarius Johnson finished with 12 and Orlando Williams had 10. The Colonels shot a season-best 64 percent from the field.

Jeff Neubauer has watched his team's offense blossom this season. The Colonels have scored at least 81 points in each of their last three games and lead the OVC (82.9 ppg) in scoring. They're also the top free-throw shooting team in the conference at 75.4 percent. Defense has been a big part of EKU's success, as the Colonels are fourth in the nation with 203 steals. SEMO is second in field-goal percentage (.491) in the OVC.

Cosey (19.0 ppg) is shooting 42 percent from 3-point range and has made the most (76) long-distance shots for the Colonels. Corey Walden (12.8 ppg) Marcus Lewis (11.0 ppg) are also part of the starting lineup, while Orlando Williams (10.0 ppg) comes off the bench. Lewis is making 56.5 percent of his shots, which is among the top-10 in the OVC. Stutz (8.1 ppg) is second in the OVC in field-goal percentage (.676). EKU is second in the OVC in scoring defense (69.4 ppg), but is allowing teams to shoot 46.9 percent, which ranks 10th in the conference.

The Redhawks, who start a three-game road trip here, are coming off a 91-81 win over UMKC on Wednesday. Six different players scored in double figures, including a 22-point, 10-rebound effort from Tyler Stone and a 12-point, 11- assist game from Lucas Nutt. It was on this night that Nutt, a senior point guard, broke Southeast's all-time career assists record. His 544 assists topped Dwayne Rutherford's previous mark of 541 from 1986-90. Nutt's father, Dickey Nutt, earned his 250th win as a head coach. He's 61-87 while guiding the Redhawks.

SEMO won despite being without junior swingman Jarekious Bradley, who missed his first start of the season. Bradley, who paces SEMO with 20.2 points per game, was limited to just two minutes due to a sprained knee. He expects to come off the bench tonight. Stone (18.4 ppg) is the fourth-leading scorer in the OVC and also in rebounding (9.3 rpg). Antonius Cleveland (8.9 ppg) is next on the scoring chart for the Redhawks.

The Colonels have won nine straight regular season games against SEMO, which has lost five in a row at Richmond. SEMO last beat the Colonels on their homecourt during the 2006-07 season. With Bradley still hurt, expect the Colonels to take advantage and keep their win streak against the Redhawks going.
