DATE & TIME: Wednesday, February 12, 7 p.m. (ET)

ACTS & STATS: Site: Show Me Center (6,972) -- Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Television: CBSSN. Home Record: UTM 5-6, SEMO 6-3. Away Record: UTM 2-13, SEMO 4-9. Neutral Record: UTM 0-0, SEMO 3-0. Conference Record: UTM 2-9, SEMO 4-7. Series Record: Southeast Missouri State leads, 44-26.

GAME NOTES: The Southeast Missouri State Redhawks will be in action on Wednesday night, as they take on the Tennesse-Martin Skyhawks in an Ohio Valley Conference bout at the Show Me Center.

UTM isn't carrying any momentum into this contest, as it has lost four straight and 11 of its last 13. Overall the Skyhawks are 7-19, including a paltry 2-9 success rate against the rest of the OVC. They will host Tennessee Tech before matching up with SEMO again on Feb. 22.

Although SEMO won its last matchup with a 74-68 decision against Eastern Illinois, the Redhawks are still struggling. They have lost three of their last five games and currently sit in a tie with Jacksonville State for ninth place in the OVC standings (4-7). They will face the Gamecocks next, before the second duel with the Skyhawks.

Last year's season series went to SEMO, which earned a pair of victories to extend its winning streak to four games over UTM. The Redhawks also lead the all-time series, 44-26.

Mike Liabo scored 17 points off the bench to lead five players in double figures for UTM, but the Skyhawks were still defeated, 84-78, by SIU Edwardsville last Saturday. They connected on 50.8 percent from the field, but it wasn't enough to keep up with the Cougars, who shot at a 56.9 percent clip.

Slowing teams down is certainly not something UTM has managed to do this season. The Skyhawks are being lit up for 81.3 ppg on 52.4 percent shooting. Each of those marks is among the 15 worst in the country. They are also shooting the worst percentage from the field among OVC teams (.420). Myles Taylor (15.3 ppg, 56.1 rpg) and Terence Smith (14.5 ppg) are the most potent offensive weapons on the roster. Taylor tallied 13 points on 6-of-7 from the field against SIUE, and Smith chipped in 13 as well. Liabo (12.9 ppg) and Marshun Newell (10.9 ppg) are also counted on, but neither shoots above 40 percent from the floor.

Paced by 18 points from Darrian Gray and a double-double from Jarekious Bradley (13 points, 10 rebounds), SEMO was able to edge out Eastern Illinois. The Redhawks outscored the Panthers in the paint, 36-22, while connecting on 44.4 percent from the floor and 21-of-27 at the free-throw line.

Bradley (20.1 ppg, 6.8 rpg) is the second-best scorer in the OVC and part of the best scoring duo in the conference, with teammate Tyler Stone (19 ppg) tied for third in the league. Stone does more than score, however, ranking in the top five in the conference in rebounds (9 rpg) and blocks (1.5 bpg). He had 16 points, seven boards and five rejections in the win over Eastern Illinois. Paced by Bradley and Stone, the Redhawks lead the OVC in scoring (82.6 ppg) and assists (16.1 apg), while shooting the second-best percentage from the field (.494).

UTM has allowed at least 80 points 11 times in its last 13 games, winning only one of those contests. The Redhawks are more than capable of reaching the 80- point mark, which spells disaster for the Skyhawks.

Sports Network Predicted Outcome: SE Missouri State 83, Tennesee-Martin 72
