GAME NOTES: The Drexel Dragons travel to SECU Arena to battle the Towson Tigers in a Colonial Athletic Association matchup on Saturday afternoon.

Drexel edged Hofstra on the road this past Wednesday night, 77-74. The win halted a two-game losing streak, but left the Dragons just 4-6 in their last 10 games.

Towson's last opponent was also Hofstra, with the Tigers beating the visiting Pride in a 76-58 final on Monday night. Towson has now won six of its last 10.

Towson won the first matchup against Drexel this season, taking an 80-68 verdict in Philadelphia on Jan. 14. The Tigers have won the last three meetings, although the Dragons hold a commanding 46-16 lead in the all-time series.

Frantz Massenat scored a game-high 32 points as the Dragons edged out the Hofstra Pride at the Mack Sports Complex earlier this week. Massenat also contributed nine assists, while Chris Fouch netted 19 points to help the Dragons. A Massenat layup with 2:08 left broke a 66-66 tie, and the Dragons held on from there for the victory.

Massenat has been pouring it on against the rest of the league with his CAA- best 24.0 ppg in conference play. Fousch has landed in double figures in all but one game this season and is scoring 22.7 ppg versus CAA opponents thus far. As a group, the Dragons are attempting nearly one-third of all their field goals against conference foes from beyond the arc. For the season, Drexel is scoring 70.7 ppg, fourth-best in the CAA, while permitting 70.4 ppg.

Jerrelle Benimon scored 15 points, collected 10 rebounds and handed out five assists as the Tigers breezed past the Pride at SECU Arena. Mike Burwell netted 17 points and Marcus Damas added 15 for Towson. The Tigers led 40-29 at halftime and Hofstra never seriously challenge after intermission. Towson held a 16-0 scoring advantage off of turnovers, and a 47-26 edge on the glass.

The leading scorer on the season for the Tigers, Benimon is averaging 18.3 ppg and 11.5 rpg, making him one of only a handful of players in Division I who is averaging a double-double. Benimon also paces the program with 82 assists and 34 blocked shots, entering him into even more exclusive company. Damas pitches in with 12.4 ppg for a squad that produces 72.5 ppg, third-best in the CAA. They also top the league in field goal percentage defense (.395).

Towson has been playing great defense and should be able to produce enough scoring to take down the visiting Dragons.

Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Towson 69, Drexel 64
