Richmond, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - Nick Kellogg knocked down a shot from beyond the arc with nine seconds left in the extra session to lift the Ohio University Bobcats to a 70-69 overtime decision over the Richmond Spiders in a non-conference thriller at the Robins Center.

Kellogg and Ricardo Johnson contributed 14 points each for the Bobcats (8-3) as they picked up their second win in three outings. Maurice Ndor paced Ohio with 19 points and also pulled down seven rebounds while Jon Smith led the team on the glass with nine boards.

Richmond (8-4) came up short despite a strong showing from Cedrick Lindsay, who tallied 23 points and five assists in the setback. Anthony Kendall chipped in 17 points off the bench for the Spiders.

Both sides played well on the offensive end in the opening 20 minutes of the contest. Richmond connected on 14 of its 23 field goal attempts and made 10- of-14 tries at the free-throw line in the first period to take a 42-38 lead into the intermission. The Bobcats sank 5-of-6 shots from beyond the arc before halftime to stay within striking distance.

The pace of the contest changes considerably in the second half. Ohio cooled off to make good on only 32.1 percent of its field goal tries and missed all five of its attempts from behind the 3-point line. The Spiders made only 1- of-8 shots from beyond the arc and missed 7-of-9 at the charity stripe in the second stanza. After Johnson made the front end of a late trip to the free- throw line to give the visitors a 61-59 edge, Anthony evened the score at 61 with a jumper with only 22 seconds left in regulation. Kellogg missed a jump shot as time expired in the second half.

Lindsay scored on three-straight possessions in overtime to give Richmond a 69-67 advantage with 32 seconds showing on the clock, but he failed to connect on his final field goal attempt as time winded down. Wayne Sparrow grabbed an offensive rebound after Lindsay's miss before his jumper as time expired fell off the mark.

The Spiders went 14-of-26 at the free-throw line in the one-point loss while Ohio sank 12-of-17 shots at the charity stripe.
