GAME NOTES: The Hofstra Pride try to break a five-game skid when they take on the James Madison Dukes in the final meeting of the regular season between the squads.

It will mark the last regular-season game for both teams, who are headed to the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament next weekend.

Hofstra has won just one of its last 11 contests, and at 4-11 in conference is slated to take on ninth-seeded UNC-Wilmington next Friday. It hasn't been a great season for the Dukes either, as they stand at 6-9 in league play, tied with the College of Charleston and Northeastern in the fifth through seventh positions. The Dukes would lose all tiebreakers to Charleston and Northeastern, though.

The Dukes are 3-2 in their last five games, and that includes a 59-53 win over Hofstra on Feb. 10. Ron Curry scored a game-high 20 points and handed out six assists to lead James Madison in that contest. Zeke Upshaw's 15 points paced Hofstra.

James Madison is coming off a 69-66 loss at home against Towson on Wednesday. Andrey Semenov netted 22 points with five rebounds, connecting on 6-of-11 from 3-point range for the Dukes. Charles Cooke chipped in with 15 points and Andre Nation came off the bench to score 10 with six boards. The result left head coach Matt Brady still looking for his 100th win (99-99) at JMU.

The Dukes have four players averaging double figures in points in Nation (15.2 ppg), Cooke (14.3 ppg), Curry (12.0 ppg) and Semenov (10.8 ppg). Despite this, the Dukes are averaging only 62.7 ppg. They are also shooting a woeful 27.3 percent from 3-point range.

The Pride suffered a 79-74 loss at William & Mary on Wednesday. Upshaw scored a game-high 28 points with a school-record-tying seven 3-pointers, although he was just 7-of-20 from the field overall. Jamall Robinson and Dion Nesmith had 15 points apiece, Moussa Kone posted 10 points and Stephen Nwaukoni collected 12 rebounds.

This will be the final home game for Upshaw (19.7 ppg). The graduate transfer forward from Illinois State has scored in double figures in 20 straight contests. Nesmith (13.2 ppg) is the only other Hofstra player averaging double figures in scoring, although the Pride are scoring higher (67.5) than the Dukes on the season due to the contributions from Robinson (9.2 ppg) Kone (7.0 ppg) and Jordan Allen (6.6 ppg). Also, Nwaukoni (8.3 rpg) has been spectacular on the glass. This will be the final home contest for the senior center from Queens, New York.

James Madison had lost six in a row at Hofstra until a 62-60 victory on Dec. 3, 2011. The Pride won 12 straight overall against the Dukes from 2003-2011. The Pride shot just 29.1 percent against JMU nearly three weeks ago, but if Upshaw can shoot from long distance like he did against W&M it may be just enough to push Hofstra over the top.

Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Hofstra 61, James Madison 58
