The Lions cooled off to sink only 39.1 percent of their field goal attempts after the break, while allowing Yale to convert 62.5 percent of its shots from the floor. The Bulldogs scored four consecutive points at the charity stripe to take a 68-63 lead with 22 seconds left in regulation, but Lo drained a 3- pointer on Columbia's next possession to make it a one-possession game. Duren made two more shots at the charity stripe with two seconds left to put Yale ahead, 72-69, and Lo's 3-point field goal attempt in the closing moments of the contest fell off the mark.
