Staten Island, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Kenneth Ortiz scored 21 points to lead Wagner to an 83-59 win over Central Connecticut State in the opening round of the Northeast Conference Tournament.

Orlando Parker finished with a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds and Marcus Burton also finished with 13 for the Seahawks (19-11), who will face Mount St. Mary's on Saturday.

Kyle Vinales scored 20 points off the bench and Brandon Peel had 12 points, 13 boards and seven blocks for the Blue Devils (11-19).

Naofall Folahan sparked a 15-5 run that put Wagner ahead 22-11. Juwan Newman had the Seahwaks' lead down to eight with his free throw with just over two minutes left in the first half, and Wagner held a 37-29 lead entering the break.

Peel's jumper less than two minutes into the second half had CCSU within four, 37-33, but a 12-8 swing put the Seahawks up 49-41.

The Blue Devils never got closer than five the rest of the way.
