GAME NOTES: The TCU Horned Frogs seek their sixth straight win, as they host the West Virginia Mountaineers on Saturday afternoon in the Big 12 conference opener for both teams at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.

West Virginia comes into the contest having won two of its last three games after dropping two straight and three of its previous four. Last Sunday, the Mountaineers whipped William & Mary, 82-45.

Terry Henderson scored 19 points and Adrian Nathan added 16 for West Virginia, which shot nearly 50 percent from the field for the game. Juwan Staten tallied 15 points and 10 boards for the Mountaineers, who outmuscled their overmatched opponent by 16 rebounds as they cruised to victory.

Eron Harris leads the Mountaineers in scoring this season with his 18.3 ppg, hitting 46.8 percent of his field goal attempts, including 44.7 percent of his 3-point tries. Staten adds 16.3 ppg and 6.2 rpg for WVU, which averages 81.1 ppg while holding opponents to just 67.2 ppg.

TCU closed its non-conference schedule last Sunday with a 77-64 win over Texas Southern at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.

Playing in his first home game in over a year and a half, Amric Fields recorded his first career double-double, scoring a season-high 17 points, while grabbing a career-high 12 boards. Fields had been sidelined since Nov. 15, 2012 after suffering a season-ending knee injury. He has played in five games this season, but this was his first home game.

The Horned Frogs captured their fifth straight victory and have now won nine of their last 10 overall.

Kyan Anderson leads TCU is scoring with 16.5 ppg and assists with 5.3 per game. Field's 13.6 ppg average is second on the squad, while Jarvis Ray (11.6 ppg) and Brandon Parrish (10.3 ppg) round out the double-digit scorers.

The Horned Frogs enter the game averaging 70.2 ppg and allowing 65.8 ppg. However, the lack of size and rebounding ability for the Horned Frogs will likely be exposed by the Mountaineers. TCU, on average, gets outboarded by its opponents, while WVU averages more rebounds than its foes.

West Virginia is 0-2 in true road games and 3-3 away from home this season, but won both games against TCU last year, including a 63-50 decision in Fort Worth.

Sports Network Predicted Outcome: West Virginia 68, TCU 60
