GAME NOTES: The Wofford Terriers play the second of three straight road games tonight, as they challenge the Rams of Virginia Commonwealth in non-conference play at Verizon Wireless Arena.

Wofford, which will travel to Winthrop this weekend before heading home to host High Point on Dec. 30, has lost two straight outings and is now a mere 3-6 on the campaign overall. Saturday night saw the team bow to Saint Louis in a 66-52 final, dropping the Terriers to 1-5 away from home.

As for the Rams, they are undefeated at home in five decisions, but the team saw a four-game win streak overall come to an end over the weekend with a 77-68 setback at Northern Iowa.

The Rams lead the all-time series by a count of 2-0, the most recent win coming in 2010.

Wofford fell behind the Billikens immediately and never recovered, finishing with almost as many turnovers (17) as field goals (19). Spencer Collins was the lone double-digit scorer for the group with his 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the floor. CJ Neumann and Jaylen Allen both chipped in with nine points, but neither made more than three field goals, while the team was outscored at the free-throw line, 19-8, and registered a mere three offensive rebounds.

As was the case against Saint Louis, overall this season Collins is the only player averaging double figures with his 14.7 ppg, thanks in large part to his 32-of-41 shooting at the free-throw line. Lee Skinner checks in with 9.4 ppg and is first on the glass with slightly more than seven boards per contest for a group that is generating a mere 63.3 ppg, but at least has held the competition to 65.6 ppg.

The Rams made just eight of their 30 field goal attempts in the first half against Northern Iowa over the weekend, converting a disappointing 2-of-10 behind the 3-point line in the frame as well, allowing the Panthers to forge ahead and eventually claim the nine-point win at the McLeod Center. Treveon Graham and Jordan Burgess tried to keep the visitors competitive with 18 points apiece, the former clearing seven assists before fouling out, while Jequan Lewis chipped in with 13 points off the bench for a squad that shot a collective 36.9 percent from the field.

A starter in nine of the team's 11 games, Graham paces the Rams with his 16.2 ppg, scoring close to four points per outing at the free-throw line where he is closing in on 80 percent accuracy. Juvonte Reddic accounts for another 12.4 ppg as he shoots an impressive 57.7 percent from the field, but a lackluster 46.7 percent at the charity stripe for a team that is hitting on only 66.1 percent at the line.

VCU is not a team that takes a loss lying down and chances are the squad will be back on top tonight against an opponent that has had little luck on the road thus far.
