Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Travis Betran netted 21 points to lead the Austin Peay Governors to a 75-65 win over the Tennessee State Tigers in Ohio Valley Conference action at the Gentry Center.

Ed Dyson scored 20 points for the Governors (10-13, 4-5 OVC) while Will Triggs added 12 points. Chris Horton made his mark with eight points, seven boards and five blocked shots.

M.J. Rhett recorded a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds for TSU (3-22, 2-9) as it lost its eighth game in nine outings. Kennedy Eubanks also registered a double-double with 13 points and 10 boards while Patrick Miller tallied 17 points and five assists. Jay Harris added 11 points and eight boards in the losing effort.

APSU dominated the opening 20 minutes of play en route to a 42-24 lead at the intermission. The visitors sank 65.4 percent of their field goal tries including a 5-of-7 clip from 3-point range and limited the Tigers to 30.3 percent efficiency from the floor in the first half.

TSU improved to hit on 43.3 percent of its shot from the field in the second stanza. The Governors led from wire-to-wire as they converted 13-of-22 shots at the free-throw line after the break to keep the hosts at bay.

Despite the loss, TSU enjoyed a 39-33 edge in the rebounding battle. The Tigers finished 3-of-18 from beyond the arc.
