GAME NOTES: The Yale Bulldogs head to Lavietes Pavilion in Cambridge tonight, as they attempt to snap Harvard's 20-game home win streak.

The Bulldogs were at Dartmouth on Friday night where they posted a 67-54 victory, the third straight and fifth in the last six outings for a Yale squad which is second in the Ivy League standings with a record of 4-1, just a game behind the Crimson.

The win last night also marked the 200th career victory for head coach James Jones, who became just the second in school history to reach that milestone and the fourth coach to win at least as many at an Ivy institution.

Off to the third-best start in program history behind the 1945-46 team which opened with a mark of 19-1 and the 2011-12 squad which owned 21 wins through the first 23 outings, this year's Crimson squad has one of the longest home win streaks in the country at the moment. The team has won four straight overall, thanks to a 52-45 triumph here last night versus Brown.

In terms of the all-time series, Yale owns a mark of 115-73, the win total being the most for the Bulldogs against any program in history. However, Harvard swept the season series a year ago.

The Bulldogs failed to have a single starter score in double figures last night, so it was up to Brandon Sherrod to shoulder the load as he tallied 15 points in just 17 minutes off the bench in the win over Dartmouth. Sherrod knocked down 4-of-6 from the floor and all seven of his chances at the free- throw line, adding four assists and four rebounds for good measure. Justin Sears came up two points shy of a double-double as he tallied 10 boards in the win.

Sears, a starter in all but two of the team's 19 games this season, leads the program in both scoring (14.9 ppg) and rebounding (6.8 rpg), playing close to 29 minutes per outing. Javier Duren checks in with 12.7 ppg, although his 39.2 percent shooting from the field leaves a little to be desired. As a team, Yale is posting 68.1 ppg, but at the same time giving up 67.4 ppg which leaves very little room for error.

As was the case with the Bulldogs, Harvard also failed to have a single starter score in double figures, but that didn't stop the team from taking out Brown at home. In fact, it was more of a defensive effort that brought the Crimson the win as they limited the Bears to a mere 27.3 percent shooting from the floor, including 2-of-16 behind the 3-point line, not to mention forcing 15 turnovers. In just 11 minutes off the bench, Zena Edosomwan took the high- scoring honors for Harvard with 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting from the floor.

Responsible for a mere six points on 2-of-13 shooting last night, Wesley Saunders is still the leading scorer for the program with his 14.7 ppg, followed by Siyani Chambers and Kyle Casey with 10.7 and 10.3 ppg, respectively. Chambers is also responsible for a team-best 4.5 apg, while Casey focuses his efforts in the paint where he has collected 6.3 rpg through 21 starts.

Clearly the name of the game for the Crimson is defense these days, limiting foes to just 59.9 ppg, but the Bulldogs are bound to push the hosts to the limit tonight before falling away.

Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Harvard 62, Yale 58
