GAME NOTES: The Princeton Tigers go in search of a weekend sweep when they face the Brown Bears in an Ivy League scuffle at Jadwin Gym on Saturday evening.

Princeton got the weekend started with a 57-46 win over Yale on Friday night. The Tigers, who are a solid 16-8 overall, have just a 4-6 record in league play and have traded wins and losses in their last four games. They will be on the road next weekend against Cornell and Columbia.

Brown has been picking up some steam of late, with wins in three of its last four games, including a 76-67 triumph over Penn on Friday night. The Bears have an inferior overall record compared to the Tigers (15-10), but they have had more sustained success against conference foes (7-4). They will play home games against Dartmouth and Harvard to close out the season next weekend.

T.J. Bray tied his season-high with 26 points to lead Princeton to a hard- fought 69-65 victory over Brown when these teams met on Feb. 14. The Tigers have dominated the Bears historically, with a 98-27 advantage in the all-time series.

Steven Spieth netted 19 points and collected a career-high 12 rebounds, and Cedric Kuakumensah (16 points, 10 rebounds) also had a double-double to lead Brown past Penn. The Bears sank 46.3 percent of their shots from the floor and claimed a 46-34 edge on the glass.

Brown is a solid offensive team with regard to their play against Ivy League foes, as the Bears are averaging 71 ppg while shooting 43.6 percent from the floor, including 37.6 percent from beyond the arc. Sean McGonagill (17.4 ppg) is the team's best threat, and he is an especially strong 3-point shooter, knocking down 40.6 percent from the perimeter. McGonagill finished with 13 points against Penn, but he only knocked down 5-of-14 shots from the floor. There are no other double-digit scorers on the roster for the Bears, but Rafael Maia (9.9 ppg, 8.2 rpg) and Kuakumensah (8.6 ppg, 6.6 rpg) are sturdy contributors down low.

Bray led the way once again on Friday, scoring a team-high 19 points to lift Princeton over Yale. The Tigers only shot 32.7 percent from the floor, but they limited the visiting Bulldogs to just 29.4 percent while forcing 16 turnovers.

In comparison to the rest of the Ivy League, the Tigers are a strong offensive team. They are netting 70.9 ppg on 44.2 percent shooting. Bray (team-high 17.7 ppg) is much more than a scorer as he also leads the team in assists (104) and steals (28). Hans Brase (11.2 ppg, 5.7 rpg) and Will Barrett (10.5 ppg) add more depth for the squad as the only other players averaging in double figures. Brase finished with 12 points and seven rebounds on Friday, while Spencer Weisz (9.6 ppg) stepped up to net 14 points.

Princeton has played well at home this season (9-2) and that advantage, combined with its superior balance on offense, should lead the Tigers to another victory.

Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Princeton 72, Brown 65
