(Saturday, February 1st)

Final Score: Nevada 69, Air Force 56 (OT)

Reno, NV (SportsNetwork.com) - Behind a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds from Jerry Evans, Jr., the Nevada Wolf Pack outlasted the Air Force Falcons in overtime, 69-56, in a Mountain West Conference battle at the Lawlor Events Center.

For the Wolf Pack (12-10, 7-2 MWC), Cole Huff added 13 points, AJ West posted a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds and Deonte Burton chipped in with 10 points and seven assists.

Marek Olesinski and Max Yon each scored 19 points to lead the Falcons (9-11, 3-6), while Justin Hammonds finished with 10 points.

Nevada shot a respectable 47.8 percent from the field in the first half and held the Falcons to a woeful 16 percent shooting, as the Wolf Pack led comfortably at the break, 31-18. The Falcons took 18 3-point tries in the opening period and made just one.

After intermission, the Falcons were able to knock down some shots, hitting on 40.6 percent from the field and 5-of-15 from beyond the arc. The Wolf Pack struggled in the second, making just 32 percent of their field goal attempts and missing all but one of their 13 tries from 3-point range. With the Wolf Pack trailing by two late, Huff scored on a layup with 11 seconds remaining in regulation to knot the score at 54-54. After a quick Falcon turnover, the Wolf Pack had a chance to win it in regulation, but Burton's 3-pointer at the buzzer was off the mark.

In the extra session, Nevada held Air Force to just one made basket, as the Wolf Pack dominated overtime and secured the victory.

Nevada had the edge on the glass, outrebounding Air Force, 46-41. Despite the extra time of the overtime period, the teams combined to commit just 25 turnovers.
