Albuquerque, NM (SportsNetwork.com) - Cameron Bairstow tallied 14 points and seven rebounds, as the New Mexico Lobos dismantled the San Jose State Spartans, 72-47, in a Mountain West Conference clash at University Arena.

Alex Kirk netted 13 points off the bench for New Mexico (17-4, 8-1 MWC), winners of five straight. Kendall Williams scored 11 points and Hugh Greenwood handed out seven assists.

For SJSU (6-16, 0-10), which has lost 10 in a row since entering league play, Rashad Muhammad poured in 15 points and Jalen James logged 11 points and seven boards.

New Mexico's dominance started early, as it ran out to a 17-3 lead less than seven minutes in before eventually taking a 37-25 lead at halftime.

The Lobos' field goal efficiency improved from 43.8 percent in the first half to 50 percent in the second, as their advantage swelled to as many as 29 points.

SJSU shot just 34.1 percent from the field and lost the rebounding battle, 40-26.
