Boulder, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Askia Booker scored 26 points on 9-of-12 shooting as the Colorado Buffaloes won a close one against the Washington State Cougars, 68-63, in a Pac-12 clash at the Coors Events Center.

Xavier Johnson added 20 points and nine rebounds, while Wesley Gordon cleared 10 boards for the Buffaloes (17-6, 6-4 Pac-12), who have now won two straight contests.

Davonte Lacy had a career-high 34 points and went 8-of-13 from 3-point range for the Cougars (9-13, 2-8), as they lost for the fifth time in the last six games. Ike Iroegbu chipped in 10 points, while D.J. Shelton tallied 11 rebounds.

Colorado shot 39.1 percent from the field in the first half as it led 23-20 at intermission. Washington State connected on 40 percent of its field goal attempts, but turned the ball over nine times, which allowed Colorado to attempt three more shots.

In the second frame the Buffaloes improved and made 48.1 percent of their field goal tries. The Cougars drained 9-of-15 from 3-point range to try and close a deficit that was 19 points. The Cougars went on a 20-7 run to cut the lead to five, but the home team was able hold off the offensive push.

Colorado did a better job of capitalizing off of the Cougars mistakes as they outscored WSU 14-4 in points off turnovers.
