GAME NOTES: Weber State tries to remain undefeated against North Dakota tonight, as the Wildcats play host to a Big Sky Conference battle at the Dee Events Center.

In addition to being perfect in four all-time meetings with UND, the Wildcats also find themselves leading the way in the Big Sky standings this season with eight wins in 10 opportunities. Although, the latest outing for WSU over the weekend went to overtime with Sacramento State and the team came up short in a 78-75 final on the road.

The loss to the Hornets snapped a six-game win streak the Wildcats had put together over the final three weeks of January.

As for North Dakota, it may still be two games under .500 on the campaign, but in conference it has been much more respectable with a 6-4 mark. The team recently enjoyed a four-game win streak and had captured victories in six of eight decisions before bowing to Portland State by a mere two points last Saturday, 70-68.

Last month, the teams met in Grand Forks where the Wildcats captured a 72-60 victory thanks to 16 points by Jordan Richardson which helped the visitors to overcome 17 turnovers. North Dakota had just as many miscues while Troy Huff led all scorers with 17 points.

UND led the Vikings by as many as nine points late in the first half, but the defense faltered over the final 20 minutes as it allowed the hosts to convert a hefty 66.7 percent from the floor, en route to the two-point decision. Huff led the way for the visitors yet again with his 20 points, adding seven rebounds and three steals, followed by Jamal Webb and Quinton Hooker with 11 points apiece, but the squad could not overcome 18 turnovers on the evening.

Huff, who has scored in double figures in all but two games this season, is responsible for 19.7 ppg and is also first on the roster with 7.5 rpg as well. A prolific scorer for the program, Huff currently ranks fifth on the all-time scoring list at North Dakota with his 1,747 points and given his current average it would not be impossible for him to move into the top-two before it is all said and done.

In a game that featured a whopping 17 ties and 18 lead changes, Weber State enjoyed no more than a four-point advantage versus the Hornets last Saturday before being taken down in overtime. Davion Berry came up with 29 points for the visitors, followed by Kyle Tresnak and Richardson with 20 and 16 points, respectively. Although he tallied just four points on 1-of-7 shooting from the field, Joel Bolomboy still made a major impact with a game-high 15 rebounds.

In conference games, Bolomboy has been a beast in the paint with his 12.7 rpg, helping to provide the Wildcats with an advantage on the glass of 6.6 rpg entering play this week. The scoring accolades still go to Berry with his 20.8 ppg, shooting 43.1 percent behind the 3-point line, while Jeremy Senglin checks in with another 10.2 ppg as he combines with Berry to account for 43 3- pointers, just four fewer than all of the Big Sky opponents combined.

With Huff out there North Dakota can never be counted out, but with Berry lighting up the scoreboard and Bolomboy cleaning up the remains in the paint, it is still difficult to pick against Weber State these days.
