Brooklyn, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Cameron Clark tallied 20 points as the Oklahoma Sooners defeated the Pirates of Seton Hall, 86-85, in the first round of the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic at Barclays Center.

Isaiah Cousins contributed 19 points while shooting 7-of-8 from the floor and 3-of-3 from beyond the arc. Buddy Hield managed 13 points, while Jordan Woodard added 12. Oklahoma will face the winner of Virginia Tech/Michigan State in the championship game on Saturday night.

Seton Hall (3-2) was led by a 26-point performance from Sterling Gibbs. The guard knocked down all but three of his 20 attempts at the free-throw line and added five assists in the setback. Brian Oliver accounted for 19 points, Fuquan Edwin added 12, while Brandon Mobley and Eugene Teague recorded 10 points each. Teague had nine rebounds and Mobley grabbed eight.

The Sooners shot an incredible 63.0 percent from the floor in the first half and led 44-41 at halftime. Seton Hall remained in striking distance thanks to 7-of-14 shooting beyond the arc.

Oklahoma cooled off in the second half, shooting 42.9 percent from the floor and hitting just 1-of-8 attempts from long range. The opportunistic Pirates hit an impressive 22-of-24 shots at the charity stripe. The Sooners trailed by six points with less than a minute remaining, but two clutch free throws from Hield with 9.3 seconds remaining put Oklahoma on top.

Despite their second half struggles, the Sooners still shot 52.7 percent from the field for the game. Although they took the loss, the Pirates were very impressive at the free-throw line where they hit 30-of-35 attempts.
