GAME NOTES: The Manhattan Jaspers resume their Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference schedule tonight, as they pay a visit to the Saint Peter's Peacocks at the Yanitelli Center.

Manhattan has been idle since notching an 84-81 overtime win at Buffalo on Dec. 21 that ran its current win streak to six in a row. Tonight's contest concludes a four-game road swing for the Jaspers, who are a perfect 8-0 away from campus this season. They opened MAAC play with back-to-back wins over Marist and Monmouth in early-December.

Saint Peter's is 0-2 so far in its conference slate after suffering road losses to Canisius and Niagara last month. The Peacocks opened a three-game homestand with a 67-59 win over Cornell last weekend, and they will host Canisius on Saturday.

Manhattan owns a 70-48 lead in the all-time series and has won the last four meetings with Saint Peter's.

The Jaspers overcame a seven-point deficit in the final minute of regulation against Buffalo to force overtime, where they eventually came out on top. Manhattan played nearly the entire contest without second-leading scorer Michael Alvarado (11.0 ppg), who was ejected following an altercation between the two benches just minutes into the game. Guard George Beamon (21.3 ppg, 6.8 rpg) stepped up in Alvarado's absence and finished with a game-high 22 points behind 8-of-20 shooting from the floor. Beamon hit a key 3-pointer in overtime that gave the Jaspers a four-point lead. As a team, Manhattan shot just 34.3 percent but scored 22 points off 22 turnovers.

Saint Peter's is led by Marvin Dominique (18.8 ppg) and Desi Washington (13.1 ppg), a duo that has combined to knock down 37 of the team's 58 3-pointers so far this season. However, the Peacocks have struggled in the paint (-3.8 rebounding margin) and are shooting just 42 percent from the floor as a team. Against Cornell, they shot just 36.7 percent but made up for it with a 27-7 scoring advantage at the foul line. The Peacocks also got a huge performance from Dominique, who shot 8-of-13 from the field and racked up 26 points and 13 rebounds. Washington and Trevis Wyche joined him in double figures with 11 points apiece.

On paper, the Jaspers have the clear edge in this matchup given their recent play and unblemished road record. Still, they have not played a game in nearly two weeks and could have some rust to knock off.

Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Manhattan 68, Saint Peter's 63
