Kingston, RI (SportsNetwork.com) - E.C. Matthews notched a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds and the Rhode Island Rams knocked off the Dayton Flyers 88-76 in an Atlantic 10 tilt at the Ryan Center.

Xavier Munford scored a game-high 27 points for the Rams (11-10, 2-4 A-10), who have won two of their last three games. Gilvydas Biruta and T.J. Buchanan tallied 15 and 11 points, respectively.

Dyshawn Pierre scored 17 points to lead the Flyers (13-7, 1-4), who have dropped three straight. Devin Oliver (16 points), Matt Kavanaugh (13) and Vee Sanford (11) also reached double figures.

The Flyers shot a confident 50 percent from the field in the opening half but were outdueled by their opponent, who shot 64.3 percent to take a 39-31 lead into halftime.

In the second half, Dayton improved to 52 percent shooting, but the Rams held onto their lead, shooting 60 percent from the floor and hitting 22-of-35 at the foul line.

The Rams outrebounded their opponent 34-23 and outscored the Flyers 12-6 on fast-break points.
