GAME NOTES: This evening at the Fant-Ewing Coliseum the UL-Monroe Warhawks will host the New Orleans Privateers in Sun Belt Conference action.

It has been a tough year for the Privateers, who come into this matchup stuck in a seven-game slide. The last time New Orleans was on the floor the team suffered a 68-46 setback to North Texas, falling to a woeful 2-12 in conference play.

The last time out for ULM, the team fell to 3-11 in league play with a 69-52 loss to Arkansas State. The majority of the Warhawks success has come at home where the team has grabbed eight of its 11 victories on the season.

The Warhawks currently own a 9-3 lead in the all-time series against New Orleans. UL-Monroe has won the last four meetings, including a 48-47 decision earlier this season.

The Privateers were ice cold in their last matchup, as the team scored just 46 points in a loss to North Texas. New Orleans shot a woeful 23.0 percent from the floor in the contest, and finished just 1-of-18 from behind the arc. Carl Blair led the way with 11 points and five assists, while Devin McDonald and Destin Damachoua tallied 10 points apiece. The poor production is not surprising considering the team comes into tonight's game posting a meager 58.6 ppg. Charles Carmouche, who is pacing the team with 12.6 ppg, was not on the floor in the last matchup due to an illness, but the guard should be back tonight.

The Warhawks did not put forth their best effort in their last matchup, but the team did just enough to grab a victory over Arkansas-Little Rock. In the win, ULM shot just 38.6 percent, but used a 19-of-22 clip from the foul line to its advantage. Rudy Turner scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while Dynile Forbes and Lawrence Gilbert tallied 16 and 10 points, respectively. Forbes has been the top player for UL-Monroe throughout the season and is currently pacing the squad with 12.2 ppg. However, as a whole the team is producing just 67.3 ppg on the season.

Neither team has been productive offensively, but considering how poorly New Orleans has played away from home, look for the Warhawks to grab a league win tonight in front of their fans.
