Ninth seeded Fayetteville State University ended a five game losing streak with a close 70-67 victory over eighth seeded Livingstone early Thursday.
The Broncos used solid three point shooting (10--18) to beat the Blue Bears. Senior Andy Gebru led the way for FSU with 16 points. Jarrick Jones chipped in 13 in the victory.
Livingstone's Tayloe Taylor misfired on a 3-point attempt to tie the game in the final seconds. FSU will take on top-seeded Virginia Union in the quarterfinals Thursday night at 9 p.m.
