Fayetteville State out of CIAA Tournament

For the second straight night Fayetteville State finished it's game after midnight. Unlike last night, the Broncos lost, ending their season.
Top seeded Virginia Union advances to the semifinal round with a 71-55 win. Gregg Thondique scored a game-high 20 points for the Panthers.
Malcolm Jay led the way for FSU with 14 points in the loss. The Broncos finished the 2008-09 season with a 13-15 record.
Virginia Union will take on St. Augustine's Friday night at 9 p.m. for the chance to go to the title game.
