Final Score: West Virginia 30, TCU 27 (OT)

Forth Worth, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The West Virginia Mountaineers beat the TCU Horned Frogs, 30-27, in an overtime Big 12 Conference matchup at Amon G. Carter Stadium, led by Clint Trickett's two late touchdown passes.

TCU (3-6, 1-5) was unable to pull out the home victory in a stadium where it had won 31 of its previous 37 games. Casey Pachall went 40-of-58 through the air with a career-high 394 passing yards and three touchdowns. Trevone Boykin was the leading receiver on the day with 11 catches and 100 yards.

West Virginia scored first with a 24-yard field goal by Josh Lambert early in the opening frame.

The Horned Frogs answered back with a field goal of their own. Jaden Oberkrom made a 22-yard attempt to tie the game up at three.

Pachall hit Josh Doctson with 1:29 left in the first quarter for a 10-yard touchdown pass. This gave TCU a 10-3 lead.

TCU continued scoring through the air as Pachall connected with David Porter on a 12-yard touchdown pass with 12:10 left in the half.

Charles Sims broke free for a 31-yard touchdown run to bring the Mountaineers within seven points of the lead. The score capped off a drive that only took three plays to go 87 yards.

A Trickett interception set TCU up at the West Virginia two-yard line. This drive lasted just one play as Boykin fumbled the ball, giving the Mountaineers possession back at their own four-yard line.

West Virginia was able to escape being deep in its own territory, driving 72 yards. Lambert connected on a 42-yard field goal to bring the visitors within four points.

A Pachall interception gave the Mountaineers the ball at their own 44, which led to a Trickett touchdown on an 11-yard pass to Cody Clay to put them up 20-17 with 8:55 remaining.

After a Pachall fumble, West Virginia started its next drive at TCU's 17-yard line. Trickett completed a 13-yard touchdown pass to Sims to put the Mountaineers up 10 with 7:11 remaining.

The Horned Frogs were able to get their offense going late and Pachall threw a three-yard touchdown pass to Porter with 3:01 left, making the score 27-24.

TCU got the ball back following a Mountaineers' three-and-out. With just 19 seconds left in regulation, Oberkrom kicked a 45-yard field goal to send the game to overtime.

The Horned Frogs got the ball first in the overtime. They ended up losing 20 yards on the drive and were forced to attempt a 62-yard field goal, which Oberkrom missed.

The Mountaineers capitalized on their possession. They only gained eight yards on six plays but it was enough, as Lambert converted on a 34-yard field goal to win the game.

This marks the first time that the Horned Frogs have lost three straight games in head coach Gary Patterson's tenure.

The win for West Virginia snapped its three-game losing streak.
