USAFA, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Behind 263 rushing yards from Anthony LaCoste, the Air Force Falcons defeated the Army Black Knights, 42-28, as part of the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy series at Falcon Stadium.

The Black Knights answered with a 16-play, 75-yard drive, capped by Santiago's one-yard touchdown plunge to make it a 14-7 game.

The Falcons answered back to tie the game up again on Brown's 14-yard touchdown rush.

Santiago kept it going on the ground and scored on a one-yard touchdown run to put the Black Knights ahead by a touchdown with just under two minutes left in the half.

Air Force was able to get the score tied going into the half. Romine finished off a late Falcons drive with a one-yard touchdown rush with only 11 seconds remaining until the break.

A 78-yard touchdown run by LaCoste marked the only points of the third quarter and put Air Force on top, 28-21.

Brown caught a 28-yard pass from Romine to set up Air Force's next score. LaCoste was able to punch it from one yard out and extend the Falcons' lead to 35-21 with 14:45 to play in regulation.

A Baggett 10-yard touchdown rush brought the Black Knights within seven with 5:58 remaining in the contest.

However, Broam Hart was able finish off the Black Knights with his 3-yard touchdown rush with 3:41 left to make it a two-score game.

This win snaps Air Force's seven-game losing streak that started after the Falcons' season-opening win against Colgate. As for the Black Knights, this is their third loss in four games.
