Leishman leads Bridgestone; Tiger 4 back
Marc Leishman
Marc Leishman grabbed a 1-stroke lead after the
opening round of the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.
Akron, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Marc Leishman fired a 6-under 64 on Thursday and grabbed a 1-stroke lead after the opening round of the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.

Leishman, the 2012 Travelers Championship winner, missed the cut at the Greenbrier, but has two top-10 finishes in his last three starts.

Ryan Moore posted a 5-under 65 and was joined in second place by a pair of former major champions Justin Rose and Charl Schwartzel.

Rickie Fowler headlines a group of four players at minus-3. He stands alongside Francesco Molinari, Graham DeLaet and Patrick Reed.  Full Story

Does Furyk have a closing problem?
By Kevin Currie, Golf Editor
Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Jim Furyk has been one of the most consistent players over the last 18 years on the PGA Tour. He has earned over $1 million in 17 of those 18 seasons and has won in 10 of those 18 years.

His resume is nearly Hall of Fame worthy, and I say nearly because the new Hall of Fame rules state that a player needs two or more major championships and Furyk is one short there.

Furyk has wins in 12 different years, but has only three years with multiple victories. And his last win was at the 2010 Tour Championship.  Full Story
