(Saturday, November 2)

Final Score: Boise State 42, Colorado State 30

Fort Collins, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Grant Hedrick threw for 305 yards and five touchdowns as the Boise State Broncos posted a 42-30 win over the Colorado State Rams in Mountain West Conference action at Hughes Stadium.

Hedrick converted 19-of-27 passes on the night as the Broncos (6-3, 4-1 MWC) captured their fourth win in the last five outings. Matt Miller caught six passes for 96 yards and two TDs for the visitors.

The Rams (4-5, 2-2) were paced by Kapri Bibbs who carried the ball 25 times for 69 yards and three TDs as the team had a two-game win streak snapped. Garrett Grayson converted 36-of-53 pass attempts for 397 yards and a score, but was sacked three times and intercepted once.

Colorado State scored the first 10 points of the night as Jared Roberts knocked through a 29-yard field goal and Bibbs made his way into the end zone on a three-yard run, but BSU was quick to counter.

The Broncos tallied back-to-back touchdowns as Hedrick crossed the goal line on a two-yard run and then combined with Geraldo Boldewijn on a 20-yard TD pass play to take the lead at 14-10 early in the second quarter.

On their ensuing possession, the Rams mounted a 14-play, 75-yard drive that consumed more than six minutes and culminated with a seven-yard TD pass from Grayson to Charles Lovett, but that was just before the Broncos ripped off four straight touchdowns to take control.

The run for Boise State began with a 68-yard TD pass from Hedrick to Shane Williams-Rhodes and continued with a 15-yard connection to Miller to give the visitors a 28-17 edge at the break.

Hedrick and Miller were back at it in the third as they combined on a 13-yard TD for the only points of the period. Early in the fourth, Hedrick hit Aaron Burks with a 42-yard scoring strike to make the score 42-17.

Bibbs delivered touchdown runs of one and three yards in the final period, but the Rams ran out of time and opportunity to truly challenge the Broncos.

Colorado State ended up running 109 offensive plays, resulting in 626 yards, compared to 58 snaps and 437 yards for BSU.
