Buies Creek, N.C. — Campbell has finalized kickoffs for its final two 2012 home games, Drake and Valparaiso, completing next season’s schedule.
Drake, slated for Sept. 29 in Buies Creek, will kickoff at 6 p.m., becoming the Camels’ fourth home game to be played under lights at Barker-Lane Stadium/Ed Gore Field. The game will also be part of Campbell’s Family Weekend.
The Camels’ Nov. 3 game against Valparaiso will begin at 1 p.m.
Campbell originally released its 2012 schedule on April 12.
The season will kickoff with the program’s first ever Thursday night contest, hosting Shorter University on Aug. 30 at 7 p.m.
CU's 2012 schedule will feature eight Pioneer Football League games, including four in Buies Creek. Campbell will be opening at home for the third time in five seasons, and for the first time under lights. The 11-game slate will feature six total home games.
Campbell finished 2011 at 6-5 overall and 5-3 in Pioneer Football League play, marking the program's highest win total since restarting the program in 2008. The Camels led the PFL in rushing for the third straight year (210.45 yards per game), placing 11 on all-conference teams.
