The kickoff time for East Carolina's non-conference contest at North Carolina, scheduled for September 19 at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill, has been set for noon to accommodate a live ESPN or ESPN2 national television broadcast according to an announcement from the network Thursday morning.
The Tar Heels, one of two Atlantic Coast Conference opponents on ECU's 2009 schedule, will host the Pirates for the first time since 2001 after more recent contests at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium in 2003 and 2007 - the latter resulting in a 34-31 East Carolina triumph.
The ACC released several game times Thursday based on fall broadcast schedules.
South Carolina will play at N.C. State on Thursday, Sept. 3, at 7 p.m. and will be on ESPN.
North Carolina will play The Citadel on Sept. 5 at 6 p.m. in Kenan Stadium and faces Florida State at home on Oct. 22 at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
The Tar Heels will play at Virginia Tech on Oct. 29 at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN.
Duke will be at Kansas Sept. 19 at noon on Versus.
