ACC releases some football game times

The kickoff time for East Carolina's non-conference contest at North Carolina, scheduled for September 19 at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill, has been set for noon to accommodate a live ESPN or ESPN2 national television broadcast according to an announcement from the network Thursday morning.

The Tar Heels, one of two Atlantic Coast Conference opponents on ECU's 2009 schedule, will host the Pirates for the first time since 2001 after more recent contests at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium in 2003 and 2007 - the latter resulting in a 34-31 East Carolina triumph.

The ACC released several game times Thursday based on fall broadcast schedules.

South Carolina will play at N.C. State on Thursday, Sept. 3, at 7 p.m. and will be on ESPN.

North Carolina will play The Citadel on Sept. 5 at 6 p.m. in Kenan Stadium and faces Florida State at home on Oct. 22 at 8 p.m. on ESPN.

The Tar Heels will play at Virginia Tech on Oct. 29 at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN.

Duke will be at Kansas Sept. 19 at noon on Versus.

Its great to know there are SO many UNC games on TV since there's only about 11 other ACC teams the entire nation would probably rather watch.

Hey cdcd, genius, the games mentioned in the article are televised. Other than your game against USC, do you think anyone is really interested in watching you guys lose to Gardner Webb or Murray State?

That's ok, though. TOB is 2-0 v. Butch! Yeah! You can live off that until we beat you.

Slow news period.
NCSU's first three games' gametimes have been published since April.
NCSU follows up the game with USC with 2 Div 1AA teams. Both of those games are 6PM starts.
