Ginyard not healing enough for North Carolina

If you tuned into Wake Forest's win over North Carolina one guy you noticed in a fine suit was Marcus Ginyard.  The North Carolina forward continues to recover from a stress reaction in his left foot that caused him to miss the team's first 11 games.

Ginyard was healing from an October surgery on the foot, and now has played in three games before sitting out against College of Charleston and then last night at Wake Forest.

I heard on the telecast Tim Brando and Mike Gminski were saying that it's coming time for UNC to decide whether or not to slap a medical redshirt on him and sideline him for the whole season.  NCAA rules don't allow that to happen if a player plays in a game past the midway point of the season, which was last night's game.

So Tar Heels, a decision will have to come.  Roy Williams himself said after the win against College of Charleston that he wasn't himself in the games he played in this year.
