1) Wake Forest (15-0)-No Boston College trip up at Boston College for the young and talented Demon Deacons.
2) Duke (15-1)-The shots don’t always fall for the Blue Devils, but you know what, when you defend the way this team does that’s ok. Kyle Singler continues to play at an extremely high level.
3) Clemson (16-0)-Perhaps the most under the radar unbeaten in the nation. Oliver Purnell’s team has been off since beating NC State last Saturday and gets to host red hot Wake Forest this coming Saturday.
4) Miami (13-3)-Jack McClinton’s 3-pointer with 24-seconds left completed a 17-point comeback against Maryland in the final 12:30 Wednesday night and the Canes have suddenly won 6-straight. Big one in Chapel Hill Saturday night.
5) North Carolina (14-2)-They are without question the most disappointing team in College basketball right now. However, despite what the ABCers want to believe this group is too good not to get it together and it should start at Virginia tonight.
6) Florida State (14-3)-Leonard Hamilton’s team is not always pretty but they do sell out defensively. Coach K even said he thinks Tony Douglas is Defensive Player of the Year material.
7) Maryland (12-4)-How do you lose to Morgan State at home?
8) Virginia Tech (11-5)-Seth Greenberg’s team has been in every game except for the blowout at Duke, but they will need to start racking up W’s if they want to be in the Big Dance this year.
9) Boston College (13-5)-The good news they beat UNC, the bad they lost to Harvard, Miami, and now Wake Forest since that big night.
10) Virginia (7-6)-Is there a Groh kid that Dave Leitao can blame?
11) Georgia Tech (9-7)-Slightly ahead of State because they got Derrick Favors.
12) NC State (9-5)-Could move to #11 with win over Yellow Jackets at home.
