Gonzalez feels pressure of former PG's as coaches

"Sometimes it's too much," says Javier Gonzalez. "I mean, they'll be paying attention to us too much."
Having a former point guard as your head coach, and another as an assistant coach; that probably would be a high-pressure situation for an aspiring sophomore floor general. Add to that the fact that both of the aforementioned coaches won a national title while leading the team you're currently playing for.
That's the plight of Javi Gonzalez, and the rest of the NC State point guards that have been attempting to claim the position permanently for Sidney Lowe and Monte Towe.
"It's good, it's going to get us better," added Gonzalez. "(Because of the point guard coaches) the team feels like they can trust us better. I think it helps us a lot."
Gonzalez was a guest with The Insiders before NC State headed over to Chapel Hill to face UNC. He commented on trying to slow down Ty Lawson.
"If we stay in front of him, and make him take tough shots I think we'll have a pretty good chance."
